The NBA Finals are currently underway, and LeBron James has been the subject of much discussion. Ever since he left the Cleveland Cavaliers to join the Miami Heat in pursuit of a championship ring, he's come under a lot of fire and criticism.
How does he handle the pressure? Yoga probably helps.
"King James" is one of the most prominent professional athletes to do yoga as part of his training regimen.
Yoga is a great way to train for any sport. It improves flexibility, agility, and strength. And it's not just good for your body; it can also help your mental acuity, keeping you sharp and focused. It also helps to relieve stress, so that you can stay relaxed before a big game.
LeBron is such a big believer in yoga that, while he was still with the Cavs, he visited a school and did some yoga with the kids there (see photograph, left). He taught them that a healthy diet and plenty of exercise, including yoga, were key to staying in championship shape.
Whether or not LeBron finally gets his ring this year, and whether you're rooting for him to win or lose, you have to admit that he's in incredible physical shape. Yoga is a great tool for staying in tip-top shape.
And if you're going to do yoga, don't forget that using the right equipment is an important part of getting the most out of your yoga practice, too. If you want to be in the best shape, you need the best equipment. That means you need a Maji Mat. Using the right mat can make all the difference when it comes to getting the most out of your yoga practice.
Just because you're not a pro basketball player, doesn't mean you can't have a pro yoga mat!
